Thank you for shopping with Playground Hobby Pte Ltd! We want you to be completely satisfied with your Tamiya and Beyblade purchases. Please read our Returns and Refund Policy carefully to understand your rights and our procedures.
1. Eligibility for Returns
We accept returns for most items within 30 days from the date your order is delivered, subject to the following conditions:
- Condition of Item: All returned items must be in brand new, unopened, and factory-sealed condition. Because we sell collectible hobby items (like Tamiya model kits and Beyblades), we cannot accept returns for items that have been opened, built, played with, or have broken factory seals.
- Packaging: The item must be returned in its original packaging, free from any major dents, tears, or damage.
- Non-Returnable Items: Sale items, clearance items, and gift cards are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.
2. Return Process
If you wish to return an eligible item, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Email our customer support team at contact@theplayground.com.sg with your Order Number and the reason for the return.
- Approval: Wait for our team to approve the return and provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and the return shipping address.
- Shipping: Securely pack the item to prevent transit damage. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot be held responsible for return packages lost in transit.
3. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected by our team, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If approved, a refund will be processed back to your original method of payment within 5ā7 business days.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If you paid for shipping on your original order, that amount will be deducted from your total refund.
- Note: If an item is returned to us damaged or opened, we reserve the right to refuse the refund or charge a restocking fee.
4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
We carefully inspect all Tamiya and Beyblade products before shipping, but we understand that issues can occasionally happen in transit or from the manufacturer.
- If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or incorrect, you must contact us within 7 days of receiving your delivery.
- Please include your Order Number and clear photos of the damaged item and the shipping box.
- Depending on the situation, we will provide a replacement, issue a refund, or offer store credit. (Note: Minor cosmetic wear on the outer product packaging during shipping is not considered a product defect).
5. Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us immediately.
- Orders can be cancelled for a full refund only if they have not yet been processed or shipped.
- Once an order has been packed or handed over to our courier, it can no longer be cancelled, and you will need to follow the standard Return Process once the item arrives.
6. Uncollected and Abandoned Orders
For orders designated for local pickup, or orders returned to us due to multiple failed delivery attempts / incorrect addresses provided by the buyer:
- We only hold online orders for a maximum of 1 month (30 days) from the date of purchase.
- If you fail to collect your order, or if delivery cannot be successfully completed within this 1-month period, the order will be considered abandoned.
- Abandoned orders will be disposed of, and NO REFUNDS or store credits will be issued. Please ensure you collect your items or provide a valid, accessible shipping address promptly.
