Tamiya announced the release of the Super Avante Jr. which is paired with the VZ chassis and has a body designed by Japanese designer Kota Nezu of znug design, who designed our recently-released R/C Super Avante body (Item 58696). This Mini 4WD model renders the Super Avante’s streamlined design in smaller scale with distinctive, small-type front fenders!

The VZ chassis is a compact and lightweight design that features reinforced designs for bumper, rear stay base and more ensuring that it has the durability and flexibility to withstand racing accidents. It is also a rather adaptable unit that lets its owner make numerous updates to the setup. Low friction 620 plastic bearings are molded in POM and maximize drive efficiency, while the chassis and A parts are molded in ABS.

The Cross Spear 01 was designed by Takayuki Yamazaki, who also penned the DCR models among other Mini 4WD designs. Its body features eye-catching truss sections extending from front to rear, plus a canopy molded in tinted plastic. The VZ chassis is a compact base for the model, and comes in gray plastic with white A parts, accented by green spiral spoke wheels with small diameter, low-profile super hard tires.

This assembly kit creates a special version of the Cross Spear 01 released to commemorate the running of the Mini 4WD 2025 Japan Cup, and given a tasteful white and blue-themed color scheme. The original Cross Spear 01 body is the brainchild of Japanese designer Takayuki Yamazaki, who gave it a thrusting, spear-like design. The body is molded in white plastic, and stickers with various logos are included to decorate it. The VZ chassis is a popular choice for Mini 4WD racers, and has its main chassis and A parts molded in matching blue. 5-spoke wheels are fluorescent orange, and paired with super hard low-profile tires featuring commemorative sidewall lettering.
