TAMIYA 18104 1/32 MINI 4WD CROSS SPEAR 02 (VZ)
This assembly kit creates a stylish Mini 4WD car known as the Cross Spear 02, a close relation to our earlier Cross Spear 01 . The one-of-a-kind compact, lightweight design with a smooth, lowdown look, its cockpit shifted forward, and side trellis sections is the brainchild of Japanese designer Takayuki Yamazaki. It is based upon the compact race-focussed VZ chassis, with red Y-spoke wheels and super hard small diameter low-profile tires that minimize bounce after jumps.
VZ Chassis
The VZ chassis is a compact and lightweight design that features reinforced designs for bumper, rear stay base and more ensuring that it has the durability and flexibility to withstand racing accidents. It is also a rather adaptable unit that lets its owner make numerous updates to the setup. Low friction 620 plastic bearings are molded in POM and maximize drive efficiency, while the chassis and A parts are molded in ABS. This chassis features a gear ratio of 3.5:1.

Tamiya’s first R/C 4WD racing buggy “Hotshot” now lines up in the Mini 4WD PRO Series as the “Hotshot Jr.” The dynamic form, front/rear dampers, large rear wing and minimum body cowling are all realistically reproduced on the modern MS Chassis, as well as pin spike tires on 4-spoke wheels which raise the mood of the buggy. The centrally located double shaft motor effectively transmits power to all four wheels for optimum performance and the “One-Touch” three piece chassis requires no glue and is a breeze to assemble. The centrally located double shaft motor effectively transmits power to all four wheels for optimum performance and the "One-Touch" three piece chassis requires no glue and is a breeze to assemble. In addition, there is a large variety of Grade-Up Parts to choose from to customize your machine. The Dash-1 Emperor was greatly popular throughout the Mini 4WD boom in Japan. The body shell is arranged to match the high performance MS Chassis, while keeping its original form of the air intake on top and exhausts at rear end, as well as the pin spike tires remind you of its retro style.
